Eastern Illinois College Graduation held on Cinco de Mayo. Margaritas optional.
A couple weeks ago, I traveled down to the campus of Eastern Illinois in Charleston, Illinois to meet Lili for a few pics in her cap and gown. This girl just got a Master's degree in dietetics. Impressive! I'm always amazed at those who accept challenging classes/degrees. I got my bachelor's from the University of Illinois a few (ok, fine almost 20) years ago. But the thought of additional schooling then was not appealing. And now, 20 years removed from formal education, it sounds horrific. I mean, I was unable to assist my kids with homework after probably 4th grade so I'm in awe of anyone who attains higher level education.
Lili and I had a short window before it started raining but we managed to get a nice variety of pics done. She mentioned that her mom and sister were coming in for the graduation festivities the very next day. Family is so important to me and I was excited to hear she would have a couple of her cheerleaders at the graduation ceremony. And when your college holds graduation on May 5th in a super hot location, the celebrations should surely include plenty of margaritas... compliments of the college, right?. Can I get an Amen? ;-)
Here's just a few of the pics I took of Lili in her cap and gown. Wishing you lots of success in your new career Lili!
