Ruff Dayz | Mahomet Doggie Daycare & Boarding Facility Grand Opening
Tonight, I got the grand tour of the brand new doggie daycare and overnight boarding facility that recently opened in Mahomet by Tim and Lacy Belangee. Wow, let me tell you I was super impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, education and training all staff are required to complete, the cozy feel of the facility and obvious love all of the employees have for every dog that walks through the doors.
In addition to daycare and overnight boarding you know what else they offer? Birthday parties for your favorite 4-legged best friend. Every doggie birthday party includes a puppy cake from Lucky Moon Pies, perfectly sized tennis ball, birthday music, and several hours of playtime in the various indoor and outdoor spaces. How fun is that?
While Ruff Dayz has kennels with outdoor runs, their goal is for the dogs that spend time at their facility to only be in that confined space during feeding time. They want all their furry friends to have lots of time to play with others and have plenty of room to run. To ensure the safety of all the dogs, when a dog is visiting for the first time they introduce him or her to each dog one on one to be certain socialization will be a success.
Everyone employed at Ruff Dayz has had previous experience with dogs. I mean, look at the big smile on this employee’s face while holding Sully! It’s obvious all of those working here have a passion for animals providing you with peace of mind knowing your pet(s) are in great hands. Colt, pictured in the left photo above, was proudly showing off their grooming room. They offer “SPAW” services which can be scheduled separately or can be completed during their visit for daycare or overnight boarding.
There are play rooms inside, a fenced outdoor play area with room to run, toys, and even a slide. In the spring they plan to expand the fenced outdoor area to provide at least twice the outdoor play area that might possibly even include a puppy pool. Puppy Pool? Really?!? My goodness… this place isn’t a kennel, this is a 5 star hotel for your pups! Oh and when your furry friends stay overnight at Ruff Dayz, the dogs still don’t go in the kennels to sleep. What? That’s right, all the dogs have a sleepover in the large main area with one (or more) employees. Yup, that’s right. They have plastic wrapped mattresses for the employee and pups to sleep on so everyone is together, loving, cuddling and playing round the clock. I’ve never heard of such a thing! Crazy cool huh?
I encourage you to stop in at Ruff Dayz and check the place out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed!
Congratulations to Tim and Lacy Belangee for following your dreams and creating a one of a kind facility to spoil dogs of all sizes. Wishing you years of success filled with lots of puppy kisses and cuddles each and every day.
